Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty Little Rock

Little Rock Oculoplastic & Facial Cosmetic Surgeon

Cosmetic lower blepharoplasty is a highly effective procedure for reducing the signs of aging or familial traits in the lower eyelids. Patients who seek cosmetic lower blepharoplasty in Little Rock frequently confide that their eyelids make them look old or tired.

As you age, the skin around the eyelids loses collagen and forms wrinkles. In addition, the eyelids can bulge forward. Often a deep groove forms between the eyelid and cheek. If you already have dark circles, the groove can accentuate them. These very common aging features can create a distraction from an otherwise beautiful face.

He also repositions some of the excess fat into the groove between the medial eyelid and cheek. In select patients (those with significant loss of volume from familial traits, or previous surgery) this is augmented with fat grafting or cheek implants. This restores the youthful transition between your eyelid and cheek. Although many patients will not need an external incision, in some patients with excess skin, this procedure can be enhanced with a tuck of the skin, laser or chemical peel, depending on the individual.
